Message Parse consists of two executables. The client application (msgparse.exe) which is used for creating and managing template files and system options, and the parsing engine (mpengine.exe) which does the actual data extraction.
The program is divided this way to make it convenient to run the parsing engine without having to open the client application. You could run the engine automatically from a command line, a batch file or a task scheduler such as AutoTask 2000 or LaunchPad. There are several command line options available for setting up the engine to run in different modes. For details see the "Command Line Options" topic.
